Here I agree: if you keep something secret, you can't
then expect anyone else to work with or around you, so
by the time your info comes out, it will probably
clash horribly with what everyone else has been
working on. And that will be nobody's fault but your
own.

While I dislike this one, I keep getting stuck with
it. If I've agreed not to pass on info I've been
given, I'll keep my word, even if I think they're
being an idiot.

Everyone's got the right to do as they wish with their
material. Their wishes may be totally misguided in
other opinions, but they still have that right. Only,
they then have to live with the consequences: which
certainly include everyone else laughing and ignoring
them, or explaining what they think of the idea, in
graphic detail.
