  How about:
  5. The mortal, having invented cheesecake, takes on the mantle of the Cheescake God and grants cheesecake abilities to the aforementioned biscuit and cheese gods as a Hero Cult (or possibly later a subcult if lots of people make cheesecake).
   
  So, Heroes can get the abilities themselves and make them available to their deities as Hero Cults. That's how a lot of these things have worked in the past.
   
  Does cheesecake actually contain cheese? The ones I've had seem to be a biscuit base with a creamy middle and a fruity topping. Or do you make proper cheesecake in Bonny Scotland?
